The first hotel for chickens

First of its kind, the first hotel for hens has been recently opened, and we're not kidding! As you may know there are hotels for dogs and cats, but have you ever heard of a hotel for the chickens? David Roberts, 32 years old, has started this business in Boskenwyn, Cornwall, a hotel like any other, with the same services, only difference, not to be ignored, it that it is reserved for the hens.

It may seem like an absurd idea, but this hotel actually exists and it's apparently proving a huge success. "Thanks to the growing desire of people to move away from the frenetic pace of the city, raising chickens is becoming increasingly popular." – says David. With a background as a carpenter, David earns a living taking care of the chickens for 1 euro per day and he builds chicken houses by himself, renting them for just about 2 euros per day.

Each of the hen houses at the Chicken Hotel can accommodate up to 8 chickens, where a rich breakfast buffet of wheat and a harry lunch and dinner are included in the service that David provides. Guests are free to take a walk in the garden of the hotel during daytime, while at night everyone's back to the barn to sleep. As told by David, during the Christmas holiday the hotel was fully booked as well as for last Easter holidays. Crazy idea, but a successful one, no doubt about it.
