A legendary hotel

Do you remember Homer's Iliad? There were the angry Achilles, the brave Hector, the Acheans and the Trojans at war for the beautiful Helen. And then there was it, the ingenious invention of the imagination of Ulysses which resolved the conflict: The Trojan Horse.
Turning from legend to reality, today you can see it live. Actually you can also go in and spend a night immersed in a magical atmosphere.

You can find it in a tiny beautiful town in Belgium, Durbuy. The whole atmosphere of the medieval tale of this place has inspired the immagination of the architect and hotelier Dominique Noël. There you can find La Balade Des Gnomes, a very special B&B where each room will take you to a different tale. It is therefore not only the spectacular Trojan Horse - all built in wood, as tradition has it! - but other ten rooms decorated in styles and materials from all over the world. Each one has a particular name and setting: fairies, gnomes, the Thousand and One Nights, and much more. In one room you can sleep watching a desert's starry sky, in another one you can access only by lowering a drawbridge, leading you to another one where a stream will flow through your room.
